Hi Lolly! I'm so glad to connect with you and learn more about your experience with raising littles and slow living in Italy. My trip to Italy in September felt like a homecoming of sorts. Not just to connect with my Italian heritage (my family name - Riccio - in Campania), but it felt like a coming home to myself. I could see why I'm drawn to a life lived close to the land here in Upper Michigan through all of the beautiful seasonal & cultural traditions there. Really looking forward to your newsletter. Grazie mille!

Thank you! I’d love to know your experience learning the language alongside your son too (if you did it that way). Did he surpass you learning at a younger age?

Ooooh yes!!! I have so many thoughts and will post on language shortly too! Yes, my son quickly surpassed me and I’ll never catch up but it’s ok. Different paths and I’m so happy he’s bilingual 😍

Sounds heavenly! I’ve longed to go back to Italy for years after my first visit. My son and I learning Italian in advance of our trip- his first. He’s fascinated with everything Italian and dreams of us moving there. He wants to own an olive oil farm. I’ve always told him to Dream Big!

Tracy, Your son sounds like the coolest kid!! Where did he get these amazingly awesome dreams? Will you bring him to an olive farm when you're here? Way to go for learning Italian! Can't wait to hear more about your trip to italy. What areas will you go to?

He is a cool kid (I can say that as his Mom:)) We've always talked about living in Italy and as he get older he started talking about olive oil farms. We both love to cook and he's been in the kitchen with me since he was very young. He's 18 now. Yes, we will definitely explore olive farms. We'd like to go the Puglia region. I've been to all of the major cities, and he's not a big city kid and wants to explore authentic farms. Nothing definitive planned yet but it 's on the list!
